2012 - 31 : Say O....for Obama

Okey everybody...Say Ooooo...for Obama......=P

First of all, congratulation dude for the 2nd term re-election..yeay...so the US presidential election took place on Nov 6th, 2012 (US time)...sort of last night and this morning (Malaysia time)...
This time around i didnt really follow the whole pre-election shenanigans...like the last time...most likely because the real people around me didnt really care about US politics. Having no one to talk about it make me read less about it. =|
However i'm glad that i didnt miss sneaking the live update of the election today at my office....opss...switching tabs between Election Result Live Update and my paperwork (finally got my paperwork done...on your face clueless colleague who reported crap to management)

Back to the US presidential election...=)
Electoral Vote and Popular Vote result
Both were equally popular but Obama wins the electoral vote.

Good luck for the 2nd term Obama....

2012 - 19 : Agree to Disagree

A friend post this on this FB status
Mindlessly i comment on his status and this conversation took place

D*mn it...what i was trying to say was that if the basic necessity price goes up, that money wont give any positive impact in improving ppl lifestyle in a long term. the impact of the money is only for the short term.

He took it literally and implied that i was arrogant....whatever....

And yeah...of course oil price hike is a big deal but i wont come out with the calculation and comparison coz it only will insult your intelligent. Do your own math.

2012 - 17 : Car Wash

I used to get my car washed  at the car wash Tesco Shah Alam parking area last year (maybe last 2 years) when they had just started their operation. At that time, they charged RM12 per/car including vacuuming inside the car and a lower price if we subscribed their membership package (which the fee didnt make sense, unless you got your car washed everyday)  The service was quite professional. They gave proper receipt and checked the car for any scratches before washing.
Then my friend told me about a car wash at Angerik Mall parking lot which charged RM10/car for the same service and the parking fee of RM1 was redeemable to the car wash customers. They offered free car wash after 5 visits. I went there for quite a while till the car wash got some issue with the Angerik Mall management and the customer had to pay the parking fee. The car wash owner told me that it was temporary till they settled their new contract but not long after that they stopped their operation. Maybe it didnt work out after all.
Lucky for me, my brother-in-law found a new car wash close at home. It was in front of Gaint Sek 7 Shah Alam. They charged RM8 for sedan car (washing and vacuuming). It was convenient, reasonable and the service was quite satisfactory. The car wash was operated by foreigner and they hardly spoke any Malay. However, last month the car wash was gone. Literally gone...like the car wash spot was empty.
Today, i went to car wash Tesco Shah Alam again after 1-2 years. There were not many cars (or employees)  as it used to be and now they charge RM15/car. I was just about to hand my car key, when the car wash employee started to mumbling about nano wash bla bla...i insisted to have a normal car wash and he said that i have to be a member to get one. It was ridiculous. it's not that i want to join some exclusive car washing society. i failed to get my car washed today and i still felt that being car wash membership is a bad idea.
Getting car wash service is suppose to be no string attached services. Being a member means we have to give our personal details like name, address etc. i wont trade such information just to get my car wash. Thanks but no thanks.

2012 - 3 : The bear bile

A couple of days ago, a came across one posting from my friend on her facebook status. it is a heart breaking story behind the bear bile business.
Apparently, the bear bile is widely use in traditional chinese medicine (TCM) to treat fever, liver ailment, sore eyes and other things.
However, there's no reasons that can defend the inhumane way on how the bear bile is obtained. The bear is put in a tiny cage with a very little room to move around or better say literally crushed. Then, a tiny hole will be made on the bear abdomen and the iron pipe will be inserted through the hole into the gall bladders. The bile will be taken several times a day. The entire procedure was done without anaesthetic in order to save cost. The bear has to endure an excruciating pain.
As the hole is never closed which make them vulnerable to infection.

Just look at the picture. How can anyone has a heart to do such thing! or maybe they just dont have any.
