2013 - 07 : This Week

These few weeks, Malaysians have been served with several interesting issues

1. Water crisis in Klang Valley area. Water is a need. For some people to use it as a political agenda to attack PKR goverment in Selangor  is a little bit irresponsible. Why cant they worked together to solve the issue? Afterall, dont they want to serve Malaysian people at the first place.
2. The using of  word "Allah" for non-muslim. Globally, the word "Allah" might be used for muslim and non-muslim but in Malaysian context, it a little bit complicated. Giving permission to the non-muslim/Christian to use word "Allah" is believed to create confusion and tension between the multi-races in Malaysia (and also all the conspiracy theory about Christian). But back to the basic, who made the non-believer? Allah made the non-believer. 
3. Listen listen listen. The video of a forum moderator insulting a student went viral this week. And against some people see this as BN vs the opposition's right. For me it's a perfect example of our culture. We dont let young people be outspoken about issues that make us uncomfortable. it starts at school and continue at work. We are not being properly explained why something cant be done (or being done that way) but we are not allowed to ask about it. it leaves us frustrated. Wont it hurt to offer some closure?  
4. Patrick Teoh controversial comment. His bizarre comment against the Chinese New Year celebration guidelines by Kedah's government might sound a bit insulting. It was. The inconvenient truth is there are a lot of people like him walking around us, smiling at us, offering a seat to us etc...it is not a secret.  Being a 65 years old Malaysian teaches him that if you slipped something mean publicly about other cultures & races, it really help to quickly apologize. 
5. Perhimpunan at Stadium Merdeka. It was last week and i heard it went well. I dont really bother about all this pre-GE activities/assembly. As i grow older, the differences between all this political parties become very unclear and confusing. Politic nowaday is full with hate, emotional unstable people, backstabbing...trying to understand politic is literally exhausting.
