The first week went smoothly. I did some reading on Hanoi and really looking forward for the trip at the end of March.
On 14/3/2013 (Thursday) , my brother gave me a call and told me that he and my other brother were going back to kampung because my mom said that my uncle wasnt felt really well. When my brothers arrived, they found out that my uncle was dehydrated and very weak. They called ambulance to bring my uncle to the hospital. He was admitted for dehydration as it effected his kidney. The doctor put him on drip through the artery on his neck because it was a faster way to get the water into his body. He was also very weak and cant move a muscle. The doctor suspected that he might have minor stroke but they cant really verify it since there's no prior record to compare.
I went back the next day with my sister and brother in law and spent the whole weekend at kampung and hospital. On Sunday (17/3/2013), we went back. My first brother stayed to take care of my uncle at the hospital.
On Tuesday (19/3/2013), I went for a training on Managing Expectation, Time and Task at DRB Hicom Training center, @cademy PD for 2 days. It's my first time to PD.. It was a very nice place, has a resort looking facilities. Very relaxing. However, the training wasnt really good. The trainer's seemed trying to buy time by giving us lame activities with straw and newspaper....it's too lame that writing about it might doze me off....
Anyway, i went back to kampung again with my second brother over the weekend. He was going to take care of my uncle for the second week when my first brother got back to KL and took care of his left-over work. My uncle was discharged on Saturday (23/3/2013) after 9 days being hospitalized. He was still very weak and need to be feed through a tube that went directly to his stomach for every 3 hours. He cant move either. It was a challenge since none of us know how to take care of bed-ridden patient. Fortunately, after asking around we managed to get 2 helpers to assist my mom during the day. We also managed to get a private nurse that will come every 3 days to clean my uncle's wound (he got a laceration wound on his back due to bedridden for quite some time).
On Friday morning (29/3/2013), just about to start working, i received a phone call from my brother. He said that my uncle's condition was getting worse. I left work and got ready to went back to kampung with my brother and sister. Told ikin and sureen that i might not be able to go to Hanoi the next day =(...
Arriving home around 3pm. At around 4.30pm my uncle passed away peacefully while my brother was sitting next to him reciting Yassin. My brother-in -law (who has been sailing for about a month as he's a navy on duty) and my sister with her three daughters managed to get back to kampung to pay the last respect.
I planned to end my March 2013 with a vacation but my March end with a funeral which gather my family members together (our last gathering was around raya back in 2011). It made me realized that no matter how perfect our plan was, Allah always has a better plan for us.
