Day 1 - 15/1/2015
Muazah and i took 12 pm air asia flight from klia2 to surat thani and arrived around 12.30 pm (local time). The journey took usx1.5 hours. As we exited the arrival gate there's a booth selling transfer ticket to koh samui. The ticket cost us thb550/person which include transfer from surat thani airport to Donsak pier (1.5 hours bus ride), ferry ride from Donsak pier to koh samui (est 1
.5 hours) and hotel tranfer from koh samui pier to hotel (in my case about 1 hour).
Arrived at the Nantra Chaweng hotel around 6.30 pm. The hotel location was quite strategic as it was within walking distance to the Chaweng Beach St, busy street with rows of shops at chaweng beach. The room was quite small but comfortable.
Took a shower and rest for a while, i browsed through the broucher at the hotel lobby when i came across a broucher on the diving trip. Based on the address, the dive shop was supposed to be nearby. We walked around to find the dive shop unfortunately we couldnt find it. Finally we stop by at a tourist information center where they arranged a dive tour package which cost us thb3670 with Easy Diver.
The dive include
- boat transfer koh samui to koh tao
- lunch
- light breakfast
- dive equipment
- 2 boat dives and dive guide.
- return hotel transfer to pier
Then we walked around to find something for dinner. Halal food is generally available nearby. Afterwards, we got back to hotel and straight to bed. It was such a long journey by air, land and water in a day!
