Koh Samui Trip - Day 2

Day 2 - 16/1/2015

Woke up and got ready for the dive trip. A van picked us up at the hotel around 6.30 am. We arrived at the maenam pier where we took a catamaran to koh tao at 8.00 am.
The journey by catamaran took us about 2 hours with 2 stops in between. As we arrived, we went directly to the dive shop which was just right in front of the jetty exit. Filling in the liability release form and got our dive equipment ready, we went straight to the boat.
The first dive site was ..........which is about 15 minutes away. It was my first time doing gaint strike enterance and i was surprised that it wasnt as difficult as i imagined.
As we about to descent, we got separated and we quickly ascent to the surface. I got drifted several meters from the group and the surface current was quite strong. Fighting the current made me exhausted and the boatman threw the rope from the boat and pulled me to the group.
It's the first dive using my newly bought dive comp and im glad that i bought it as i could monitor my dive in real time.

The dive last about 47 minutes and got about 30 min surface interval, changing the tank and get ready for the next dive.

The second dive was more relaxing. However, it only last for 37 min as muazah went missing during the dive. It was my 2nd time losing a buddy during dive. Sometime i just got carried away while enjoying the amazing underwater world. Altho,  i did try to make a habit of checking my buddy frequently, i still hv thè risk of losing a buddy.
The dm terminate the dive after looking around for a while and we ascent. We found muazah at the surface. Apparently, she had difficulties to control her bouyancy and ascent. Luckyly she was okey.
We got back to the dive shop, clean-up the equipment and logged the dive. As we done,we caught the catamaran back to koh samui at 3 pm as scheduled.
As we arrived at the pier in koh samui, the van has already ready  to pick us up. The arrangement was generally quite efficient.
We arrived at the hotel around 6 pm. Got nice hot shower and some rest. We went out to hunt dinner and ended up eating at yesterday's place. I got myself mango sticky rice. it has been a must have meal during visit to thailand. The mango turned out to be slightly sour. :(....

Afterwards we just walked along chewang beach street and stopped by a tourist info center where we booked island safari trip which cost us thb1500 for the next day.
