ODay 3 - 17/1/2015
A 4×4 picked us up at 8.30 am for the Island Safari tour. There's 10 ppl in the group with a hype tour guide.
1- Wat Plai Laem and Wat Phre Yai ( The Big Buddha).
Obviously not a big fan of wat and temple, i just snapped a few picture and did some window shopping at thr nearby shops.
2- Elephant show/monkey show/ elephant ride.
The show was quite entertaining but secretly i felt bad for promoting animal abuse. The 15 min of less elephant ride was okey.
3- Coconut factory visit.
Actually it was just like a dirty backyard with 2 ppl peeling coconut. They gave a short breifing and sell coconut oil and cononut drink.
4-Offroad 4×4 ride
Might be the highlight of the day. I did hv so much fun riding 4×4 on the rough road.
5-Panoramic view.
Stopped by the road to have a nice panoramic view by the hilltop.
6-Magic garden
7- Lunch by the hilltop
The food was good and they did prepare halal meal for us.
8- Visiting a tiger.
During our visit there's no tiger so they replaced it with a leapord instead. You hv to enter a room to take the pic with the leapord for thb300. Otherwise, just we can view the leapord via a cc tv screen outsite the room. I just sit somewhere nearby, not intersted. One of our group member told me that the leapord looked drowsy.
9- Waterfall
It was about 20 min stop. Got a short peek at the waterfall and went to the nearby stall to have a coconut drink.
10- The mummified monk
11- Grandfather rock and grandmother rock.
The area did has a nice ocean view but generally it just rocks that sort of looked like reproductive organ of man n woman. It's just a pedolipia. Amazing how it did attract so many ppl.
We got back to hotel around 6 pm.
Googling for the nearby halal restaurant and found Fareast Halal restaurant which was about 30 min walk from our hotel.
