2013 - 03 : I Knew You Were Trouble

It has been six days since the last time (last Sunday) my sister filed a report to Astro regarding to the service interruption.
It started last weekend when there seemed a delay in the decoder response to the remote control. To switch channel from one channel to another took more then 10 seconds. It was really long till you forgot what channel were you switching into. At first i thought it was the remote control battery. However, after replacing the battery, it didnt solve the problem. So my sister called the Astro customer service to filed the report.
The customer service rep kept on asking my sister to reboot the decoder ( omg, really...we didnt even think about it * sarcastically*)...when the customer service rep realized that it took abnormally long time for the decoder to reboot, he asked whether it's normal for our decoder to reboot that long. daaaa...off-course it wasnt normal, otherwise we wont call you. Finally he decided to send a technician in 3 days time.
On Tuesday, the Astro service was completely gone. No more delay, just blank. my sister called the customer service one more time and they promised to send the technician but till today (Friday), no technician came to solve the problem.
Today (Friday) might be the harassment day. After been calling Astro customer service for about 6 times, it's seemed like they didnt even trying to solved the problem.
My sister has just called them again just now to follow up on their action. They put her call on hold while checking the status. While putting her call on hold, they were playing the song "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift. It's funny and very disturbing at the same time. Glad to know you were anticipating trouble.

For a monopoly service business, Astro is very incompetent. They cant even find a more calming song for their customer service on-hold call.
Maybe it's time to switch to the "alternative".
